Albino Malungo presented today, 31.05.2022, his credentials to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, in a ceremony held at Al Sakhir Palace in Manama, the capital of the Kingdom of Bahrein.
Albino Malungo, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Angola to the United Arab Emirates, presented his credentials along with 11 new other non-resident Ambassadors accredited to the Kingdom of Bahrain, namely, Belarus, Estonia, Croatia, Austria, Kenya, Vatican, Australia, Ivory Coast, Gabon, New Zealand, and Cyprus.
Addressing the ceremony, HM the King welcomed the new ambassadors, taking pride in Bahrain’s distinguished relations with their respective countries, wishing the diplomats success in assuming their duties, and pledging full support to further bolster ties binding the Kingdom of Bahrain and their countries.
His Majesty the King extended personal greetings to leaders of their countries, wishing them success in their duties and abundant health and wellbeing.
“We are confident that there will be more collective work between Bahrain and your countries in the field of joint cooperation and enhancing communication between us. The doors will be open for any suggestions and ideas that contribute to bringing our relations closer”, said HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, adding, “We believe that the world is getting smaller than ever, so there is nothing to prevent us from reaching out to everyone and moving on the right paths.”
On occasion, Ambassador Albino Malungo conveyed the special greetings and esteem of the President of the Republic of Angola, João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, to the highest instance of the Kingdom.
He emphasized the reception provided by the authorities of Bahrain, a kingdom of tolerance, peace, and cooperation with the whole world, waiting for the opening of guaranteed doors to improve the cooperation between the two countries, which started in 2009, even before the establishment of official diplomatic relations.
Albino Malungo appealed to Angolan businessmen to take advantage of the cooperation with the Kingdom of Bahrain to seek “know-how” in sectors outside the oil industry, especially in Agriculture. Today, Bahrein is a major producer of fertilizers, with oil representing only 20 percent of its Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
The ceremony was attended by HM the King’s Personal Representative, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, The Royal Court Minister, the Foreign Minister, and the Royal Protocols Chief.
Ambassador Albino Malungo is also responsible for Kuwait, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, awaiting official confirmation for accreditation by the competent authorities of the last two countries.
